These pet portrait commissions are created in the same way I make all of my maps and other art. They are first sculpted into a 3D relief image by burning into the buckskin, and then painted by hand with natural pigments using a bone tool.
The buckskin is 4x4" and is mounted on wood. Wood/Buckskin thickness is about 1/4", but the 3D relief can bring the total thickness can vary up to 1/2" or more.
Includes a picture hanger on the back, and an optional folding wire stand (see options)
To commission your pet's portrait, please select from the options available, check out, and then email at least 2 good quality digital photos of your pet's face (or whole body in the case of spiders/insects etc.) to CaveGeekArt@gmail.com
Photos should have natural lighting that shows the true colors of your pet, and be taken with the animal facing the camera or slightly away and/or down.
NOTE: Original buckskin pieces are made of actual deerskin. Keep them out of reach of your pet, or they may decide to show their love for the art by chewing on it. ;-)

Though I make every effort to ship items quickly, and often they will arrive in just a few days, please allow up to 14 days for delivery. I spend a lot of time on the road, exhibiting at shows, and sometimes cannot get to a post office for a few days.
All shipping is done with USPS Priority Mail, with tracking.
